Police & Sheriff Calls for Mar. 28
Gas Syphoner?: At 9:31 a.m. a call was made from the 1300 block of 21st Ave. South regarding syphoned gas. The caller wanted it on record that gas was being syphoned from various vehicles throughout the neighborhood.
Smoking in the Park: A call was made regarding two teenagers smoking at a park on the 700 block of 8th St. South. They were issued citations and told to go home for the rest of the night.
Mysterious Prowler: At 9:05 p.m. a call was made from the 100 block of 18th Ave. South regarding a man running towards Alton St. dressed in all black. After opening a mailbox, he told the caller that he was trying to stash all is money somewhere, and then ran off.
Speed Demons: At 5:30 p.m. a call was made from the 600 block of Whitrock Ave. regarding multiple complaints of vehicles speeding down the road. Officers spoke with the subjects, and they said they would slow down.
