Central Wisconsin Environmental Summit Slated for Jun. 4

The Central Wisconsin Environmental Summit has been slated for next week, and will address multiple environmental issues and concerns in Central Wisconsin.

This event will be held at the Rainbow Casino banquet hall in Nekoosa on Jun. 4 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The summit will address how budget cuts have affected the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, (DNR), the politicization of the DNR, and the role of citizens to help strengthen conservation.

Featured, is special guest speaker and former Wisconsin DNR secretary George Meyer. Other special guests include UWSP Political Science graduate John Greendeer, founder of the Wisconsin Safe Energy Alliance Carl Whiting, and Viberto University teacher Juliee de la Terre.
