Great Book Giveaway This Week

Young book lovers will have the opportunity to receive the gift of reading this week.

The United Way of Inner Wisconsin will be giving away free children’s book in the 7th annual Great Book Giveaway.

The event will last from Jun. 7 to Jun. 10 at seven different locations. Volunteers will also be on hand to read books to children, who will have a chance to take home a book to take home. The books were collected earlier from a spring book drive.

All ages are welcome to attend this week’s events, as well as care providers. The participating locations are as follows:

Lester Public Library in Nekoosa – Jun. 7 at 10:30 a.m.

Wisconsin Rapids Municipal Zoo – Jun. 7 at 1:30 p.m.

Edwards-Alexander Memorial Park – Jun. 8 at 10:30 a.m.

Lester Public Library of Vesper – Jun. 8 at 6:00 p.m.

THINK Academy Playground – Jun. 9 at 10:30 a.m.

McMillan Library – Jun. 9 at 6:00 p.m.

Burt Morris Park – Jun. 10 at 10:30 a.m.
