A 60-year-old man faces charges of burglary after police say he robbed multiple storage units.
Robert Nourse, of Westfield, is charged with two counts of burglary. According to police reports on Jun. 2, an officer viewed surveillance footage of a storage facility on the 800 block of State Highway 73 in the Town of Saratoga stemming from reports of burglaries on Jun. 3.
The footage revealed a vehicle, later identified as belonging to Nourse, pulling a trailer outside of the suspected burglarized storage units. The footage revealed the doors to the units had been opened, and matched the units with missing items reported from them.
On Jun. 4, officers contacted Nourse, who allegedly informed them that he would break into storage units, take items, and sell them at local flea markets. Police found the stolen items from the storage units, which consisted of a rocking chair, dream-catchers, and a couple of comforters.
If convicted, Nourse faces up to 25 years imprisonment and up to $50,000 in fines for two counts of burglary. Future court dates are pending.
