Wisconsin Rapids Weekend Rundown

Here is a quick rundown of weekend events in the Wisconsin Rapids area.

Friday, Aug. 19
The Suspenders — 7:00 p.m.

This jazz/classical band will be bringing their talents to the Hotel Mead this Friday. The Hotel Mead is located at 451 E. Grand Ave.

Friday, Aug. 19
Relentless — 7:00 p.m.

Rock band Relentless will be hitting the Trail’s End Bar & Grill in Nekoosa. This event is located at 1497 Alpine Dr. in Nekoosa.

Saturday, Aug. 20
Kolor for Kids 5k — 8:00 a.m. registration/10:00 a.m. race time

Start with a white t-shirt and end up looking like a rainbow at the end of this color run/walk. Hosted by the Grand Rapids Lion Club, this charity run is aimed at fighting child illness and injuries. The Grand Rapids Lions Club is located at 2411 36th St. South.

Saturday, Aug. 20
Animal Medical and Surgical Clinic of Wisconsin Rapids Open House — 12:00 p.m.

Celebrating new owner Dr. Kristie Ponce, this open house shows off new equipment, updated facilities and lower prices. Pet-friendly businesses and contests will be on hand for the open house. This event is located at 1221 Parkwood Dr.

Saturday & Sunday, Aug. 20-21
Kellner Corn Fest — 7:00 a.m.

Crafts, food, flea markets, live music, and corn. Parade to follow on Sunday. Please call 715-570-4805 for more information. This event is located on 80th St. by the Chat-R-Box in Kellner.

Sunday, Aug. 21
Stage Hogs at Anchor Bay – 4:00 p.m.

Enjoy live music from the Stage Hogs at Anchor Bay. Enjoy cold drinks from the boathouse bar, as well. Anchor Bay is located at 3460 N. Biron Dr.
