Road Construction Updates

The city has released an update on various road construction projects throughout the city.
-Work on 1st St North through Spring St. and Poplar St. has been in the process of pouring concrete on driveway aprons. The street will remain closed to through traffic until the concrete has dried.
-Work on 1st St. North through Apricot St. and LaVigne St. has also been in the process of pouring concrete on driveway aprons. They are expected to finish up early in the week. Asphalt will be paved in that area late this month.
-Utility work has begin from W. Grand to Jackson St. Jackson St. between 2nd Ave. and 4th Ave. remain closed. Crews have been in the process of replacing the existing clay sanitary main.
-The 2016 sewer lining project is still underway along 17th Ave. North from Green Bay St. to Rosecrans. Expected completion is in early October.
