Take a trip to Nekoosa this Saturday for all of the Christmas you can handle.

From 8:30 to 7:00 p.m., residents are welcomed to the 2016 Nekoosa Area Hometown Christmas. The day will kick off with a breakfast at the Retirement Community of Nekoosa, as well the opportunity for kids and adults to get their picture taken with Santa.

Starting at 10:00 a.m., an array of activities start up, from a holiday and crafts show at Alexander Middle School, to a gift sale with cookie decorating at the Nekoosa Library. Tractor rides will also be offered from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Alexander Middle School.

The Nekoosa Fire and Ambulance Department will be hosting an open house from 1:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m., with the annual Christmas parade starting at 5:15 p.m. in downtown Nekoosa on Market St. The night will end with a bang, as a ‘Light up the Sky’ fireworks show will be put on at 6:15 at Riverside Park.
