‘Peppermint Patties’ Bring Holiday Joy to Nursing Home

The Christmas spirit is alive and well at Edgewater Nursing Home.
Residents got the chance to get into the holiday spirit with help from a group called the ‘Peppermint Patties’. The group, led by Pat Wallace of Port Edwards, brought hundreds of gifts, wrappings, and decorations, completely free of charge to residents.
“The Peppermint Patties have been doing this for the past six years at Edgewater, and for the past two years at Atrium,” said Wallace. “The service brought a lot of smiles from the residents who were able to get things for loved ones that they would not have been able to do without the Peppermint Patties.”
The group had help from a generous donation by Thrivent Financial, whose ‘action team’ helped throughout the process.
