United Way Seeks Volunteers for Homeless Point-in-Time Count

Volunteers are needed for a local homeless point-in-time count. (PIT)
This count will be held this Wednesday, Jan. 25, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Vounteers will travel in groups to area of Wisconsin Rapids, as well as surrounding areas. Interviews will be conducted with participating homeless people by volunteers.
Volunteers should be at least 18 years of age. No prior experience is required to be a volunteer, however, a short training is required on the same day at 10:15 a.m. at the United Way of Inner Wisconsin’s Volunteer Center. Volunteers will also need to fill out an application.
It is encouraged to dress for the weather, as there will be minimal walking. Any other supplies, including vests, will be provided. If interested, please contact Angie Loucks at 715-421-0390.
