Yoga at Aspirus Riverview Kicks off in May

Registration Opens May 16
Aspirus’ spring/summer series of yoga classes are coming up. The classes are held at Aspirus Riverview Hospital and are led by Tarah Mancl, RYT, YogaFit Registered Yoga Teacher or Lisa Brazeau, RYT, Hatha Yoga Registered Instructor.
The cost of each 13-session series is $72 ($60 for those 60 and over, Aspirus employees and volunteers, and Aspirus Riverview Auxilians).
Chair Yoga will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays, May 30 through August 29 (no class July 4). Chair Yoga participants learn to become stronger, breathe better, increase range of motion, and improve balance without getting on the floor. The class includes movements while sitting in a chair and standing with the support of a chair. Movements are adapted to each participant’s ability.
Gentle Yoga will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. or from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on Thursdays, June 1 through August 31 (no class June 15).Gentle Yoga participants learn to become stronger and more flexible. The class’ gentle, flowing movements involve time standing as well as on hands and knees. The class is designed to help with healing, sleep and relaxation.
Yoga registration opens Tuesday, May 16, at 8:00 a.m. Participants may register and pay by credit card at aspirus.org/classes or by check (no credit cards or cash) at Aspirus Riverview Hospital’s front desk. Early registration is recommended, as space is limited.
