WE Energies Settles With City Over Insurance Claim

City officials were recommended by Statewide Services to deny a claim from WE Energies over damages to a broken gas line and lost gas. Before any motion was made, staff had been informed that WE Energies had settled for an undisclosed amount.

Rafters to Host Movie Night

Finance members approved a movie night hosted by the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. “Finding Dory” will be shown on the Rafters new video board on August 11, which will be free to community members. The Rafters will pay the city $100 for use of the facility outside of the team’s lease with the city.
