Police & Sheriff Calls for Aug. 3-5

Aug. 3
Quiet, Please: At 3:28 p.m. a complaint was made from the public library regarding a woman who was constantly being harassed by a man.
Middle of the Road: At 8:09 p.m. a call was made from the Sandlot Park to report that a child was running down the middle of the street and got into a vehicle. Luckily, everything was 10-4, according to police.
Suspicious Red Car: At 10:45 p.m. authorities were notified of a suspicious red vehicle parked behind a house on the 100 block of 12th Ave. South.

Aug. 4
Phonebooks: At 4:28 p.m. a call was made to dispatch to report three garbage cans full of phonebooks on the 400 block of 13th St. North.
Vape Salesman: At 6:50 p.m. a report of possible drug activity came from the area of 17th Ave. North — however, it turns out that a man was simply selling another vaping supplies.
Late Night Disturbance: At 2:05 p.m. a call was made from the corner of Fifth St. and Avon to report multiple males yelling and making noise. One of the men was intoxicated, and they were trying to get him home.
Aug. 5
Out for a Stroll: At 5:29 a.m. a call was made from the area of Sixth and Dewey St. to report a confused woman in the area — however, she was found to be taking a morning walk and looking at the ongoing Kwik-Trip construction.
Speed Racer: At 6:50 p.m. a call was made from the area of Jefferson St. to report that a driver had been driving too fast and had been speeding around corners.
Ghost Kids: At 10:53 p.m. a call was made from the area of Dewey St. and 11th St. South to report three kids sitting in the middle of the road. Police would find no kids at all, but instead, adults.
Drunk Driver: At 2:50 a.m. dispatch was notified of a driver coming out of a gas station on W. Grand Ave. that was possibly intoxicated, and almost struck a curb.
