Aspirus Announces Cancer Support Group Meeting Dates

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Women’s Cancer Support Group will meet Monday, Oct. 9, and the Men’s Cancer Support Group will meet Tuesday, Oct. 10.
Both meetings will take place from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. in the Aspirus Riverview Hospital Lower Level Conference Center, 410 Dewey Street, Wisconsin Rapids. The October meetings will feature “Palliative Care? What’s That?” presented by Kay Shawbitz, APNP, Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner with Aspirus Riverview Hospital.
The support groups are open to all women and men who are battling or surviving any type of cancer. Meetings are free, and no registration is needed. Light refreshments will be served.
The support groups meet monthly in February, March, April, May, September, October and November. The women’s group meets the second Monday of the month, and the men’s group meets the second Tuesday of the month. For more information, please call Aspirus UW Cancer Center at 715-421-7442.
