WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The road to nationals in Boston started Friday night, and in their season opener against Hudson the Midwest Division Champions put up 10 goals over Hudson en route to a 10-2 victory.
Some new faces, as well as fans favorites all chipped in for what would be a dominate performance on Friday. Ryan Mantz, Adam Peterson, and Austyn Quarters contributed goals of their own on the night, as well as newcomers to the squad Raymond Fleming and Jacob Gaydos, who put up two goals on the night.
Midway through the second period, the Riverkings held a 6-0 lead over Hudson, and never looked back. Jesse Edwards, Adam Peterson, and Zach Hartley all contributed with assists on the night, including Russian acquisition Daniil Piliya.
They take on the Havoc again tomorrow night at home at the South Wood County Recreation Center. Puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
