Police & Sheriff Calls for Nov. 10-12

Nov. 10
Donuts: At 8:18 a.m. a complaint was made from a residence on the 2200 block of Russell St. to report that a vehicle did multiple donuts in the caller’s front yard, thereby damaging it.
Reckless Driver: At 1:20 p.m. dispatch was informed that a driver almost hit the complainant pulling out of a fast food restaurant on Eighth St. South, then continued to drive over the curb and down the street.
Shadows: A call was made from the 1400 block of 23rd Ave. South concerning a moving shadow seen in the caller’s basement.

Light Nap: In the early afternoon, a call was made to report a man that had been passed out/sleeping inside of a van.
Swordfighting: Police were notified that a man at a residence on the 1100 block of High St. had been threatening others with a sword.
Gas: At 11:46 p.m. a call was made to report the strong odor of gas coming from the area of Woodbine St. Utility workers were unable to pinpoint where the smell was coming from that night.

Sprung a Leak: At 2:27 p.m. a hotel on Eighth St. South called to report that their sprinkler system water pipe had broken, and part of the place was flooding.
Lasers: At 5:35 p.m. a report of red laser lights being shined on multiple people was made from the area of 18th St. South.
Erratic Driving: At 11:15 p.m. a complaint was made regarding a reckless driver on Spring St. who threw a cigarette out of his window at the caller.
