WISCONSIN RAPIDS — A local charity has closed its doors due to a lack of funding.

The Random Acts of Kindness Center, (“RAK”) shut down as of April 11 as according to a news release, didn’t have the funding to continue to pay their rent at the RCH building, 1430 Second St. North. The RAK provided free household items, clothes, toiletries, and food for low income families.

“This is a big loss to the community.”

Those who worked within the organization will hope that there is a way the charity can keep afloat, given recent financial burdens.
