For the Rapids City Times

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Mid-State Technical College supporters gathered at the Wisconsin Trapshooting Association in Nekoosa on Sept. 7 for the Foundation’s third annual Trapshoot Fundraiser. The fun, team-based competition raised over $6,000 for emergency grant programs that benefit students in financial need — twice the amount raised at last year’s event.

The first-place team was comprised of Brian Krause, Kevin Krause, Fred Krause, Mark Skibba, and past Mid-State President John Clark. Overall high female score went to Mary Claire Nicholson. Overall high male score was a tie between John Clark and David Nicholson — shoot off deemed Clark the winner.

“We’re now in our third year for this awesome event, and it’s thanks to enthusiastic participation from the community that it continues to grow” said Jill Steckbauer, director of Foundation & Alumni.
