Ralph Arthur Levreau, age 59, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Edenbrook of Wisconsin Rapids surrounded by his loving family.

Ralph was born on February 9, 1959 in Stevens Point, WI to Ralph A. and Rojean (Perron) Levreau.  Rojean passed away when Ralph was very young.  His father, Ralph A. Levreau, later married Margaret Welch, who raised Ralph from an early age.  Ralph always considered her his mom.

He served his country in the United States Army.  He was employed as a truck driver for Batesville Casket Company and Tax-Air until retiring due to disability.

Ralph was a loyal, giving and helpful person who would give you the shirt off his back.  He loved being with family (especially at Christmas time) and was especially close to his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed shooting pool in various leagues, attending NASCAR races at the Milwaukee Mile, casinos, dog races and Mole Lake music festivals.  Ralph was a motorcycle enthusiast.  He was very proud of his cycles and loved taking cross country trips with his good friend Bill.  Ralph loved to eat and was especially fond of Italian food.  He was a proud pet parent to golden retriever, Max, childhood German shepherd, Kathy, and was an avid Packer, Badger and Brewer fan.   Ralph was a goofball and will long be remembered for his hearty belly laugh and big smile.

Ralph is survived by his mother, Margaret Levreau; siblings: Myrna (Damien) Kudronowicz, Bernadine (William) Galecki, Virginia (Lyon) Jelinski, Debra Addis, Colleen (Robert) Clark, Thomas (Teri) Levreau and Maureen (Andre) Mueller; and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph; mother, Rojean; brother, Dennis Newby; brother-in-law, Mike Addis; and nephews: Timothy Zdroik, Chad Kudronowicz, and Carl Burdick.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids.  Chaplain Dave Baker will officiate. A time of visitation and remembrance will precede the service from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will be at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum in Milwaukee.

Herman-Taylor Funeral Home, Wisconsin Rapids, is honored to be serving the Levreau family.  For online condolences, please visit www.taylorfuneralhome.net.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Special thanks to Ministry Hospice Ascension at Home (especially Chaplain Dave Baker and nurses Bee Wilson, Jessica Capogreca and Lynn Hetzel), Aspirus Riverview Hospital ER, and Edenbrook of Wisconsin Rapids 600 wing staff for all your wonderful care and support to our family.
