Bohman sentenced to life

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — A Marshfield man will serve a life sentence for the murder of his ex-wife’s husband.
Gary Bohman, 59, was sentenced Dec. 18 after pleaded no contest to first degree intentional homicide in Wood County Court on Oct. 18.
According to reports, Bohman entered Higher Grounds Bakery, 4231 Eighth St. South, Wisconsin Rapids on March 24 and shot 39-year-old Christopher Race, while he was working behind the counter. Race’s two young children were present at the time and the incident was captured on video surveillance.
Bohman was located in the parking lot shortly after the incident and arrested.
As part of his sentence, Bohman has no possibility of parole.
