Riverkings clinch playoff spot

WISCONSIN DELLS – The Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings have brought their record to 21-12, while clinching a spot in the playoffs.
After a Jan. 11 loss, 0-1, on the road against the Wisconsin Dells Ducks, the Riverkings defeated the Ducks at home, 9-1, on Jan. 12.
Jesse Edwards and Jered Stevenson each scored two on the night, while Haralds Jirgens, Raymond Fleming, Kyle Smith, Jordan Stear, and Tanner Dey each claimed a goal. Cole Creger, Evan Erdmann, Chase MacKenzie, Jirgens, Adam Peterson, Stevenson, Edwards, Max Moore, Zack Hartley, and Fleming all had assists on the night.
The Riverkings are on the road Jan. 18-19 in southern Minnesota, as they face the Steele County Blades. They are back at home Jan. 25-26 when they welcome the Minnesota Mullets.
