Caroline M. Hoffman, age 88 of Nekoosa, died Friday July 19, 2019 at the Nekoosa Court.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nekoosa. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the time of Service at 11:00 AM.
Caroline was born May 30, 1931 in the town of Port Edwards to George and Martha (Miller) Schmidt. She married Elmer Hoffman on June 30, 1951 in Nekoosa.
Caroline was a long time member of the Sacred Heart Perish Council of Catholic Woman. She cooked for many functions at Sacred Heart including funerals, weddings, anniversaries and other events. In earlier years she did seasonal work at local cranberry marshes and also cooked at a couple local restaurants.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years Elmer Hoffman; 3 children Carol (Mike) Jonas of Mashfield, Paul (Rosie) Hoffman of Nekoosa and Mark (Merideth) Hoffman of Nekoosa; 4 Grandchildren Kevin Jonas, Lori (Marty) Foix, Tiffany (Jeremy) Ziska and Aaron (Candice) Hoffman and 6 Great grandchildren Kegan, Aurora, Isla, Levi, Adam and Olivia with one more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Irene Skibba and 3 Brothers George “Shocky” Schmidt Jr., Robert Schmidt and Adam Schmidt.
In lieu of flowers, the family will establish a memorial at a later date.
