Local students receive WFCA recognition

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Several local students have received recognition through the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA).

The WFCA provides the Academic All-State awards to acknowledge individuals and teams that attain “a high level of success in the classroom.”

Team recognition recipients have a minimum of five seniors with an average cumulative GPA of 3.33 or higher.

Individual recipients are seniors with a GPA of 3.75 or higher, plus they must be a varsity letterwinner.

Local individual recipients are: Assumption, Jaret Hartley; and Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln, Ryan Blokhuis and Chandler Vruwink.
