Nekoosa’s second half shuts them out of win

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Nekoosa played Mauston on Feb. 4 in conference matchup in Mauston, where a tough second half shut them down and gave Mauston the win.
Nekoosa boys basketball had a good first half but went into the second half down 39-30. Mauston was able to shut down Nekoosa’s scoring in the second half though, with Nekoosa scoring only five more points in the game. Mauston won, 77-35.
Nekoosa’s leading scorer for the night was Damek Walker, with 13, and Jace Lobner added 10.
Mauston moved to 10-5 overall, 5-1 in conference. Nekoosa moved to 4-11 overall, 0-6 in conference.
Nekoosa is at Wautoma on Feb. 6.
