Wood County resources available to address food instability

Many Wood County agencies and resources are available to help meet food instability needs.

Food Pantries

Christian Life Fellowship Pantry: Pick-up Tuesday (2:30-4:30pm)., and Thursday 1:30-3:30 p.m., at 600 Seventh Street, Port Edwards; 715-887-3565.

Pittsville Area Neighbors Shelf: First and third Saturday of every month at the Pittsville City Hall; 715-884-2931.

Soup or Socks: Pick-up Tuesday and Thursday, 11 a.m. -1 p.m., at 200 S. Lincoln Avenue, Marshfield; 715-384-9992.

South Wood County Emergency Pantry Shelf: Pick-up Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, noon -4 p.m. and Tuesday, 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.; 715-422-2050.

St. Vincent de Paul: Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.; and free to-go supper every Monday and Wednesday, 5-6 p.m & Thursday, 5-6 p.m.

The Neighborhood Table: To-go meals on Thursdays, 4:30-5:30 p.m. at 411 Garfield Street, Wisconsin Rapids. Must register on at www.theneighborhoodtable.org or call 715-422-1980.

Ruby’s Pantry: Third Saturday of every month, 8-10:30 a.m. in Marshfield and 8-10 a.m. in Wisconsin Rapids. Call 651-674-0009 or visit rubyspantry.org.

Schools offering free meals

Auburndale Elementary School : Pick-up Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Available for all children 18 and under.

Humke Elementary School: Pick up Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 7-9 a.m. or 3-5 p.m. Delivery also available if needed.

Lincoln High School: Pick up Monday and Thursday 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in front parking lot.

Marshfield Public Schools: Pick up Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 11 a.m. – noon, at Marshfield High School, Lincoln Elementary, or Grant Elementary. Available to all area students.

Mead Elementary School: Pick-up Monday and Thursday, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., on Alton Street, Wisconsin Rapids. Available for all children 18 and under. Delivery if needed by calling 715-426-6703, Ext No. 2; call by 9 a.m. on day of pickup.

Pittsville Elementary School : Pick-up on scheduled school days, 10 a.m. – noon, in school office parking lot. Available for all students.

Port Edwards Middle/High School: Pick-up Mon, Tues, Thur, 10 a.m. – noon, by bus lobby; 715-887-9000.

Other food resources

Boys & Girls Club of the Wisconsin Rapids Area: Snack and dinner offered for all children 18 and younger. Monday – Friday, 2-4 p.m. Enter through the club gates on 17th Street, Wisconsin Rapids, to receive grab-n-go bag

Aging and Disability Resource Center: Home delivered meals for age 60 plus; 715-421-0014.

Food Share – Northern Income Maintenance Consortium:  1- 888-794-5722.

Home Delivered Meals – Marshfield Medical Center: all ages; 715-387-9585.

Women, Infants, and Children – Wood County Health Department: 715-421-8950
