ADAMS COUNTY – A Reedsburg man is in custody following a medical call that led to an Adams County burglary and possession arrest.
On Sept. 10, shortly after 7 a.m., Adams County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 700 block of State Highway 23, in the township of Dell Prairie, for an unresponsive man in the passenger seat of a vehicle.
“Law enforcement and medical personnel arrived on scene and the male subject was alert and conscious,” a release from Adams County Sheriff Brent York stated. “Law Enforcement later located a second individual in a nearby storage unit. The initial investigation revealed that the second subject had gained entry to the storage unit without the consent of the leasee. Two Ziplock baggies and a hypodermic needle were located on the individual that contained suspected methamphetamine.”
Following an investigation, the department is requesting charges through the Adams County District Attorney’s Office for Stephen R. Manley, 47, of Reedsburg, for two counts of possession of methamphetamine, carrying a concealed knife, two counts of felony bail jumping, misdemeanor bail jumping, and possession of “burglarious tools.”
No charges were filed on the subject who was found in the vehicle. No further information is being released at this time.
