For the City Times

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Riverkings start off 2021 on the right foot, gaining two wins against the Minnesota Mullets, 6-2 and 5-1.

The Minnesota Mullets goalie had a strong game for the amount of shots faced; however, Sander Willard powered through and punched in two goals for the Riverkings the first night and an assist the second for three points on the weekend.

New Riverking, Trey Zagrzebski, from Stevens Point, scored a goal and an assist each night for four points on the weekend. Captain Jordan Stear put up three assists the first night and another one the second game for a total of four points as well.

This weekend extends the Riverkings winning streak to five games and puts them at a 23-3-1 record, still holding first place in the division and second place in the league.
