Riverkings top Hudson

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Riverkings had a rare one-game weekend on Jan. 22 at South Wood County Recreation Center and came out with a hard fought 4-3 win against the Hudson Havoc. The win puts the Riverkings in the top spot of the USPHL Midwest.
Adam Brzezicki had the first goal of the night with an assist from Nathan Bottles. Grant Newcomer had the next goal with assists from Sanders Willard and Jordan Stear. The team’s Power Play was perfect going 1/1 with a goal scored by Luke Hartge, assisted by Jordan Stear and Cole Creger.
Hudson tied the score at three, until Steven Point native, Trey Zagrzebski scored the game winner, with assists from Trenton Skaggs and Logan Radtke. Riley Allen was in net stopping 26 of 29 shots, as the Riverkings improved to 25-3-2.
