Hilda Marquez exhibit opens at cultural center

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Central Wisconsin Cultural Center’s latest exhibit, “Hilda Marquez,” honoring Frida Kahlo.
The exhibit runs Sept. 21 through October and features Mexico City artist, Hilda Marquez. She is inspired by artist Frida Kahlo, which is reflected in many of her large format works.
On Sept. 23, the center will hold its grand opening from 5:30-7:30 p.m., where attendees can meet Marquez. The event will include a Mariachi band, Ofrenda wall, and Mexican food. The center’s new patio will also be open. Admission to the exhibit and opening are free.
The center is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., at 2651 Eighth St. South, Wisconsin Rapids.
