Rapids School of Performing Arts Winter Showcase returns
For the City Times
WISCONSIN RAPIDS – After a two year hiatus, the Rapids School of Performing Arts Winter Showcase is back.
“We opened our performing arts school in 2015 and have presented a Winter Showcase in December ever since. We were not able to perform in 2020 due to the pandemic and the toll it took on our business,” an event release stated.
“The Winter Showcase highlights our intermediate and advanced level dance, voice and musical theatre students. RSPA students are youth from all over our community and surrounding areas.
“This year faculty and guest artists have choreographed and rehearsed all styles of dance, as well as a musical theatre section themed ‘A Classic Christmas.’ There is also a large group lyrical piece dedicated to our students and all that they’ve been through the past year and a half. We wanted to highlight them, and their hard work and commitment to the arts. “
The Rapids School of Performing Arts Winter Showcase will take place Dec. 3 at 7 p.m., and Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. & 7 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center of Wisconsin Rapids. Reserved seating is available at the PAC box office one hour prior to show times.
