Papermakers Drop Road Game Against Wautoma
City Times Staff
WAUTOMA — Nekoosa’s attempt to rebound after a home loss last week fell short against a tough Wautoma team in a 53-0 loss on Friday night.
Wautoma quarterback Ryan Lois threw four touchdowns in the first half, with Spencer Klinger and Cade Peterson picking up two each on the Papermakers. The Hornets kept quarterback Kyle Olson in check, holding him to under 30 yards passing on the night.
However, Nekoosa running back Dylan Bills kept up his consistent play for Nekoosa, picking up 64 yards on 14 attempts for the night. The Papermakers drop to 2-5 on the season, and will look to rebound next week as they head to Rosendale to take on Laconia High School.
