Nekoosa Pumpkin Fest Celebrates 20th Year

NEKOOSA — It’s that time of year again to celebrate all things pumpkin.
For 20 years, the Nekoosa Pumpkin Fest has been bringing grand fall activities from pumpkin-weighing contests and pumpkin drops to dozens of activities; food vendors, games, music, and more. The annual event tends to attarct up to 10,000 people a yer annually, all held at Domtar-owned Riverside Park in Nekoosa.
Nekoosa Mayor Alan Marcoux is expected to be on hand to experience the pumpkin-themed weekend, which will run on Saturday, Oct. 7 to Sunday, Oct. 8. Kickoff for the event will start at 9AM with Sunday’s events to kick off at 4PM.
