WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Volunteers are needed at American Red Cross and Park Place Adult Day Services.
American Red Cross
Blood Drive volunteers are needed to welcome and greet blood donors, hand out snacks, and thank blood donors for their time and donation.
Disaster Action Team (DAT) members directly help people affected by disasters, ranging from home fires to tornadoes by providing food, shelter, essential relief supplies, and hope.
Park Place Adult Day Services- Memory Café
Meetings are held second Tuesday of every month from 10:30 a.m. – noon.
Café Leaders make sure key volunteer assignments are covered, direct set up according to the day’s schedule/ activities, welcome guests and give summary of day’s schedule, assign or lead “welcome” song, introduce music/speaker/entertainment, draw for door prizes, and wrap up and announce future schedules.
Registration Table workers get supplies from cabinet in health office, wheel in display of resource materials. make copies of forms if needed, set up sign-in sheet, have blank nametags ready for new guests, assist new guests with filling out data sheet, have guests sign up for door prizes, and guide guests to table and beverage serving area.
Facilitators assist with set up of snacks and beverages, guide guests to tables and assist with obtaining a beverage, assist with program, serve refreshments, and help guests locate restrooms.
