Police & Sheriff Calls for July 14
Lunch Rush: Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Chestnut St. and Hwy. 54 at 12:10 PM. Drivers were a 53-year-old male and 21-year-old female.
Dog Eat Dog World: A 50-year-old Rapids woman called police at 12:16 PM to report problems with someone who had given her a dog but now wants it back. No resolution was reported.
Casing The Joint?: Riverview Hospital Security called police at 3:25 PM to report to males, aged approximately 25 and 40 years old, were seen in the front entrance of the hospital taking pictures of the locks, switches and mechanisms of the door. They then got into a maroon Chevrolet Malibu and drove way.
Get Off My Lawn: A Wisconsin Rapids woman called police at 5:11 PM to report two unknown young girls aged 13 and 9 years old were on her porch and would not leave. Police warned both girls to stay off the property.
No Bacon: Police were called at 5:23 PM by a Rapids man who reported an unknown suspect had egged his car and driveway on the 1300 block of 31st St. N.
Zapped: A 52-year-old man called police at 5:43 PM to report his neighbors had run an extension cord to his home on the 500 block of Wisconsin St. and were tapping his electricity. A 48-year-old female was issued a citation for utility theft.
Sing It Loud, Sing It Proud: An anonymous man called police at 1:23 AM to report a neighbor on the 400 block of Miller Ave. was singing loudly in his house and could be heard outside. Police spoke with the singer who agreed to keep it down.
