A 63-year-old man was arrested on Oct. 8, 2015 after police say he threw a family member to the ground.
William Borland, of Nekoosa, is charged with battery and disorderly conduct. According to the complaint, Borland got into a small argument with a family member the morning of Oct. 8, 2015 in a private residence in the town of Port Edwards. Later that evening, the argument would continue and turn into a physical altercation.
Borland used a recording device to record the argument, but the victim took away the recorder from the defendant. Borland became angry with the victim and grabbed her by the shoulders and threw her on the ground, which caused her to hit her head.
If convicted, Borland faces nine months imprisonment, and up to $10,000 in fines. His 12 person jury trial is set for Feb. 3.
