Wisconsin Rapids Man Charged with Battery

A 29-year-old man is charged with battery after police say he attacked a family member multiple times throughout an altercation.
Joshua Hansen, of Wisconsin Rapids, is charged with battery and disorderly conduct. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to a residence on the 2600 block of 12th St. South on Jul. 24, 2015 to speak to the complainant. The complainant told the officer that on Jul. 22, 2015, she was allegedly attacked by Joshua Hansen.
Hansen allegedly punched her in the head multiple times in an altercation, as well as punching the complainant in the back, and kicking her in the stomach and legs. The officer noted in the report an observation of bruising on the complainant’s arms, head and shoulders.
If convicted, Hansen faces up to nine months imprisonment and up to $10,000 in fines. His pre-trial conference is scheduled for Feb. 26, 2016. He is currently out on a $500 cash bond.
