A woman accused of accidentally killing her boyfriend after crashing into his motorcycle last July has taken a plea deal.
Jessica Hendricks, 29, was charged with second degree reckless homicide in December for the death of boyfriend Scott Carlson on Jul. 25. According to police reports, she allegedly was in the process of checking a text message before running Carlson and his motorcycle over with her vehicle.
Hendricks initially plead not guilty on the charge of reckless homicide in January. Wood County District Attorney Craig Lambert would not specify the details of the plea deal.
Hendricks also faces charges of credit card fraud in an unrelated incident. She will be back in court on Jun. 13 for a plea hearing on both charges. Hendricks is currently out on a $50,000 bond.
