Letter: Thank You to Those Involved in Family Movie Night

To the Editor:

It was a Wednesday evening and families from the community had bellies full of Polito’s Pizza and eyes engaged on the McMillian Memorial Library theater screen.

We wish to send a heartfelt thank you to McMillian Memorial Library and Staff, Polito’s Pizza, Healthy People Wood County Coalition, Marshfield Clinic AmeriCorps, and the Wood County Human Services Staff and Interns for helping make our event a success. An estimated 75 members of the community attended and many families participated in the discussion and after-movie family activity.

Healthy People Wood County Coalition, Marshfield Clinic AmeriCorps, and Wood County Human Services plan to come together again to provide another movie event in late summer in Marshfield. More information will be posted on the Wood County Health Department website soon

When we bring families and communities together, we build social connections that improve a family’s well-being and engagement that fosters strong relationships. This leads to positive outcomes for children and families.

Together we are strengthening family bonds and bringing the community together, which is why we appreciate your support, time, and effort involved. Your efforts continue to bring joy to families in our communities.

Thank you!

Megan Larson
Marshfield Clinic AmeriCorps member serving the Wood County Health Department
