The Lambda Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi ended their year in giving fashion.

Here are some highlights of the group’s community efforts:

On Nov. 29, the Lambda Master started service projects of making homemade cookies for the Neighborhood Table, as well as sending Christmas cards to military personnel. The sorority also made a monetary donation to a local cancer patient.

Programs included a travelogue by Carol Schroeder of her trip to Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC.  Guest speaker Donna Dorshorst of Prevention Genetics in Marshfield spoke about freezing and banking DNA samples for future medical testing.

Judy Spath presented a program on “Downsizing the Family Home”, and Anne Handschke presided over a game of Beta Sigma Phi Bingo, a refresher course in the history and traditions of the sorority.

The sorority held a number of social events, including a Packers Party in October, the Roy Orbison/Everly Brothers Reimagined concert in November, and the December Christmas Tree Tour at the Le Chateau Bed & Breakfast.

On Jan. 10 members will meet at the home of Darlene Hartman. For more information, please contact Elaine Taylor at 715-325-2159.
