Here are some notable dates and events from the March Veterans Newsletter:

Wednesday, March 8
Law Enforcement/Corrections/EMT Appreciation Day — 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
-Held at Woodlands Church, located at 1000 E. Riverview Expressway

Thursday, March 9
VFW Chapter Meeting — 7:00 p.m.
-Held at the VFW Post 2534, located at 2711 Reddin Rd.

Thursday, March 16
VFW Chapter Meeting — 7:00 p.m.
-Held at the VFW Post 2534, located at 2711 Reddin Rd.

Wednesday, March 22
National Guard Appreciation Day — 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
-Held at Woodlands Church, located at 1000 E. Riverview Expressway

Spring Elections to Be Held for VFW Posts

Spring is the time for elections including both for Chapter 101 and VFW Post 2534. As many Vietnam veterans now fill the positions in both organizations here is information for the two elections.

VVA – Elections are held in April with the officers installed in May. If you are interested in serving as an officer of the Chapter please contact Ron Clark who oversees the elections. He can be reached at 715-421-4615.

VFW – The nomination of officers can be done at the March or April meeting of the Post. Elections are held in April and the installation of the officers may occur following the May meeting if deemed necessary but is generally done in June.
