Port Edwards Law Enforcement Club to Host Safety Fair

For the City Times

The John Edwards Middle School Law Enforcement Club will be hosting a safety fair at John Edwards High School/Middle School on Saturday, March 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The event will be opened to the public to increase their knowledge of public safety, as well as introduce the to public safety employees. The event will include members from:

-Port Edwards Police Department
-Port Edwards Fire Department
-Wisconsin Rapids Ambulance Service
-Wood County Rescue
-John Edwards Law Enforcement Club
-Wood County Health Department
-Wood County Crimestoppers
-A special K-9 presentation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

During this event, presentations will be given to increase awareness involving distracted driving among teenagers. Also on hand will be demonstrations on putting out small fires from the Port Edwards Fire Department.

Food and beverages will be on hand, as well as a bake sale. All proceeds will go to the John Edwards Law Enforcement Club.
