Free Crisis Prevention Training Offered Through County

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Help save a life by taking a training course on crisis prevention.

Wood County Human Services – Crisis/Legal Services is hosting a Crisis Intervention Partners (CIP) training on June 19-20 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The two-day, 16-hour course is designed for all audiences who are interested in learning more about how to improve relations and interactions with those going through mental health crises.

According to the news release, “CIP is designed for and dedicated to individuals who work in professions related to crisis services (i.e. corrections officers, EMS personnel, fire fighters, social workers, community crisis intervention oriented, or educators, hospital and emergency room personnel, etc.).”

Registration is due by June 12, and will be held at Mid-State Technical College, located at 500 32nd St. North. For more information, please call 715-421-881.
