Nekoosa Drops Road Game to Laconia
City Times Staff
ROSENDALE — Two late touchdowns wasn’t enough to mount a late comeback against a tough Laconia squad who came out on top of Nekoosa 36-13 on Friday night.
While Dylan Bills put up almost 100 yards on the ground, the Papermakers found themselves down 20-0 at halftime. In the third, a 30-yard bomb from quarterback Kyle Olson to Brandon Wolf closed the lead to 20-6, giving Nekoosa some momentum. Jace Lobner would add to that momentum, as he ran one out from 32-yards late in the game after both teams traded scores to make it 28-13.
A late score from Laconia clinched the game, which led to a 36-13 final. The 2-6 Papermakers will host their last game of the season when they take on Adams-Friendship on Friday night.
