Photos: Riverkings Team Up with Mites for Annual Pumpkin Carving Night

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Last weekend, the Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings held their fourth annual pumpkin carving event with the South Wood County Youth Hockey Association U8 Mites.

Current Riverkings players joined up with the future of local and state hockey to carve pumpkins with friends and families at the ice rink in the South Wood County Recreation Center.

“God bless your Riverking hearts for getting down and dirty with our mites,” said Mite parent Jenna McDonald. “They sure love it, and look up to their local hockey stars. Thank you for making your biggest fans a priority.”

“The Riverkings our proud of to be involved with the SWCYHA and always look forward to interacting with the youth hockey players, said Head Coach Marty Quarters. “This is the fourth annual pumpkin carving event and we always look forward to it because our players have just as much fun as the mites do.This events goes hand in hand with our goal of building hockey up and down the river.”
