Barbara Wolfe
Barbara Jean Wolfe, age 75, town of Rome, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at her residence.
Barbara was born April 27, 1943 in Wisconsin Rapids to Harold and Mary Ann (Bennett) Malcolm. She married Terry L. Wolfe on December 30, 1961, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids. They were blessed with nearly 57 years of marriage.
Barbara worked at Anderson Drug Store in Wisconsin Rapids and did wig styling out of her home. She and her husband, Terry, started the family business, Terry Wolfe Realty in 1973. They also owned and operated Sieber’s Restaurant for a period of time.
Above all else, Barbara loved spending time with her family. Her contagious laughter and passion for fun will be greatly missed. She made sure that we all knew that we were special in our own unique way, and she never gave up on us no matter what happened. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and attending special events they were involved in. Nothing made her more proud. Barbara had a unique gift of making everyone in her home feel welcome and like family. She had a special love for all animals, especially her dogs, and the birds, deer, and other critters that would visit her outside her window everyday. She loved us all fiercely and will forever be in our hearts.
Barb and Terry’s love for each other built this great family: daughter, Terese (Stephen) Palmquist and sons: Terry II(Caroline) Wolfe and Timothy Wolfe, all of Wisconsin Rapids; grandchildren: Barbara Jean (Matthew) Schiller, Elizabeth (Timothy) Gasch, Nicholas (Madalyn) Palmquist, Aubree Palmquist, T. Louis Wolfe III, Zoe Wolfe, Simon Wolfe, Hunter Wolfe, and Tyson Wolfe; great-grandchildren: Samuel Gasch, Lyla Jean Gasch, and Noah Schiller. Barb is also survived by her sister, Dawn (Mel) Krings; brother, David (Janine) Malcolm; brothers-in-law: Jim Krings and Larry Wolfe; sister-in-law, Judy Fischer; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Grace Autumn Wolfe, and sisters: Beverly Krings, Janice Malcolm and Gloria Murgatroyd.
A private family service will be held at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, with Rev. David Bruener officiating.
Barb had many special people in her life that loved her like a Mom or Grandma. The First Annual Celebration of Barb’s Life, “Great’s Day” will be on April 27th, 2019. Details of this special day to follow.
In lieu of flowers, please feed the birds, snuggle your pets, and love your family as she did.
