BURLINGTON – Wisconsin high school students are invited to participate in the Wisconsin Writers Association (WWA) statewide writing contest.

The contest is open to Wisconsin public school students, grades nine to 12, and is designed to encourage and nurture creative writing.

Each Wisconsin high school may submit up to 20 entries, as chosen by local district education professionals. There are two categories for prose entries –fiction and non-fiction – up to 1,500 words. An individual student may enter both categories.

Three state-wide winners will be selected in each category, for a total of six student prizes.

The contest opens December 1.  For more information, visit https://wiwrite.org.
