Aspirus offers classes on Preventing Type 2 Diabetes

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Learn how to lower your risk of diabetes and pre-diabetes by attending a free class series offered by the Aspirus Riverview Diabetes & Nutrition Center.
“You Have the Power to Prevent Type 2 Diabetes” will be held Thursdays, Sept. 5, 12, 19 and 26, 6:30-8 p.m. in the lower level conference center at Aspirus Riverview Hospital, 410 Dewey St., Wisconsin Rapids.
The four-class series is designed for those who have been told their blood sugars are high, as well as those who simply wish to learn more about reducing their diabetes/pre-diabetes risk.
Classes will be led by an Aspirus Riverview registered dietitian, who will explain simple lifestyle changes, including wise food choices, grocery store strategies, and the benefits of exercise.
