For the City Times

NEKOOSA – Every two seconds someone is in need of the life-saving gift of blood.  When you donate blood, you give the gift of life to as many as three patients in need.

Local residents can make that gift, during a blood drive held by Becky Brown of Blood Center of Wisconsin, in memory of Josh Doherty, who passed away in September from injuries sustained in an ATV accident.

The Josh Doherty Memorial blood drive will be held Nov. 16, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m., at Alexander Middle School, 540 Birch Street, Nekoosa.

To make an appointment, visit https://donate.wisconsin.versiti.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/202571 or call 877-232-4376.
