FRIENDSHIP – Charges have been filed in connection with human remains found in Adams County, later identified as a missing Dane County woman.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Dane County Sheriff’s Office, and the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) announced that Adams County District Attorney Tania Bonnett has filed charges against Robert J. Olson, following the identification of human remains found in Adams County on Nov. 23.

Olson is charged with hiding a corpse, providing false information on a missing person, and obstructing an officer.

On Nov. 23, a hunter came across human remains in a wooded area in Adams County. Law enforcement responded to the scene and the remains were confirmed to be human. The remains were later identified as that of Annastasia N. Evans, 24, of Dane County.

The investigation is ongoing. The Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Dane County Sheriff’s Office, and DCI are assisted by the Adams County Medical Examiner, Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory, and Wisconsin State Patrol.
